You understand by viewing this website you will be introduced to several innovative energy methods based on the newly emerging field of energy psychology (the “Energy Methods”). Energy Methods is a collective term used to refer to a variety of techniques based on the use, modification, and manipulation of energy fields that look at imbalances within the person’s energy system as well as the energetic influence of thoughts, beliefs, and emotions on the body. The theory of the Energy Methods is that the flow and balance of the body’s electromagnetic and more subtle energies are important for physical, spiritual, and emotional health, and for fostering well-being. Although the Energy Methods appear to have promising emotional, spiritual and physical health benefits and there is a growing amount of scientific research indicating that they are effective evidence supported methods, the Energy Methods have yet to be fully researched by the Western academic, medical, and psychological communities. Therefore, the Energy Methods may be considered experimental and the extent of their effectiveness, as well as their risks and benefits, are not fully known. The Energy Methods are self-regulated and they are considered alternative or complementary to the healing arts that are licensed in the United States.
I offer my consulting services to individuals, families, professionals and groups solely as a coach and educator on stress management and issues relating to preconception, pregnancy, birth, and early parenting experiences. While I have a doctorate in clinical psychology and have received training in prenatal and perinatal psychology, and energy psychology, I am not licensed in the State of New York as a psychologist or as any other licensed health care provider. While the Energy Methods have several applications, including use as self-help tools, coaching methods, and as therapeutic techniques for health care professionals, I use them only as coaching methods and as self-help tools.
Any information presented on this website on the Energy Methods is not intended to represent that they are used to diagnose, cure, treat, or prevent any medical problem or psychological disorder nor are they intended as a substitute for seeking professional health care advice. Ann Diamond Weinstein, PhD strongly advises that you seek professional advice as appropriate before making any health decision.
